Nominations are now open for the Beacon Awards 2026, organised by Lichfield District Council to recognise businesses, organisations and people making a difference across Lichfield District.
The awards celebrate independent businesses, growing enterprises, visitor attractions, hospitality venues, community-focused organisations and inspiring individuals from across the district. Entries close on 16 October 2026.
Record-breaking growth in 2025
The awards return following a record-breaking 2025, which saw nominations increase by 68% compared with the previous year. Almost 250 guests attended the sell-out celebration event.
Last year's winners included Lichfield Garrick Theatre, The Boat and Lichfield Maize Maze.
Categories and judging process
Categories are designed to recognise businesses and organisations of different sizes and sectors, as well as individuals helping to drive their success. Submissions will be considered by an independent judging panel made up of representatives from businesses and organisations across Lichfield District and the wider region.
Awards ceremony
Finalists will be invited to the Beacon Awards ceremony at the National Memorial Arboretum on Thursday 3 December 2026. The event will bring together 250 guests from across the district for an evening celebrating local business and achievement.
