Lichfield District Council is bringing back the SPACE Leisure Pass to give young people affordable access to activities across local leisure facilities during the summer holidays.
The pass is available to 8 to 17-year-olds and includes unlimited swimming at public sessions, gym access for 14 to 17-year-olds before 6pm, court hire for tennis, badminton, squash and table tennis, and adventure golf at Beacon Park. Young people can also access the council's Getin2it summer holiday activities, which include wheelchair basketball and kickboxing.
Price and availability
A limited number of passes are on sale for £12, part-funded by the Staffordshire Commissioner's Office. Once these sell out, passes will be available for £20.
The passes go on sale from Monday 13 July at Burntwood Leisure Centre and Lichfield Leisure Centre. They are valid from Monday 27 July until Friday 28 August 2026.
What's included
The pass covers unlimited access to public swimming sessions, Floats and Fun swimming sessions and Aqua Scramble sessions. It also provides off-peak court hire and 12-month discounts on leisure centre activities. Some activities at Beacon Park may require a small refundable deposit for equipment.
Councillor Andy Smith, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Leisure and Major Projects, said the pass offers "excellent value" and helps young people stay active and try new activities during the school break.
How to apply
A Participant Consent Form must be completed by a parent or carer before taking part in activities. All activities are subject to change and availability, and terms and conditions apply.
