Fazeley Town Council has submitted the Fazeley Neighbourhood Development Plan to Lichfield District Council. The council is now inviting residents, businesses and other interested parties to comment on the plan during a six-week public consultation period.

What is a Neighbourhood Plan?

Neighbourhood plans are prepared by local communities and set out planning policies to help guide future development within their area.

What Happens Next

Once a neighbourhood plan has been submitted, Lichfield District Council is required to carry out a minimum six-week consultation, giving residents, organisations and other interested parties the opportunity to comment.

Following the consultation, all comments will be passed to an independent examiner, who will assess whether the Neighbourhood Development Plan meets the necessary legal requirements before it can proceed to a local referendum.

How to Comment

The consultation is now open and closes at 11.59pm on Monday 14 September 2026.
