Lichfield District Council has organised a free summer activities programme for young people across the district running until Friday 28 August.

The Getin2it programme, run by the council's Active Lichfield Communities team, takes place on weekdays with sessions in Lichfield and Burntwood. The activities are led by qualified coaches and drop-in — no booking is required.

What activities are on offer

The programme includes sports and fitness sessions across a wide age range. Activities on offer are:

Councillor Andy Smith, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Leisure and Major Projects, said: "Our Active Lichfield Communities team have organised a great schedule of activities for young people over the summer holidays. The sessions are taking place at venues across the district. They are fun, led by qualified coaches and there is no need to book – just come along and join in!"

How to take part

Young people can attend any session without booking. Participants are required to complete a consent form.
